CALL FOR ENTRIES
Our current call for entries information is here. For all quilters, seamstresses, fiber/fabric artists in the North Alabama area. The show will run April 24 - May 24, 2012. Once the show is opened, gallery viewing hours will be Monday-Wednesday, with varying hours. Gallery viewing can also be scheduled by appointment, for a small fee.
NEW STUDIO AND GALLERY LOCATION!
We are pleased to announce the opening of the Chevre Cheval Art Studio and Gallery at the historic Lincoln Mill. The gallery, studio, and classroom is located on the first floor of the Mill. We are in Suite 83. To celebrate our opening, we are announcing a Call for Entries. The Middle and High School Art Exhibition will run in the gallery from March 12-April 12, 2012. Why Chevre Cheval Studio? The art studio was originally located just a mile and a half up the road from the Belle Chevre Fromagerie. If you didn't know, Belle Chevre is the world famous, award winning goat cheese that is lovingly produced right here in North Alabama. Cheval is the French word for horse. The neighbors, who were just behind the art studio, had horses. So, the art studio was situated between Chevre and Cheval. Hence the name, Chevre Cheval. It is also really fun to say. All three are the reasons that, when combined, gave the art studio it's name. The studio is now located in the Historic Lincoln Mill. We are on the first floor, in Suite 83. The Mill is located at 1300 Meridian Street, in Huntsville, AL.
